The Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna is a palatial building from the Ringstrasse Era. It`s 60 meter high octogonal dome is imposing to behold from outside and inside. Lavishly decorated with marble, stucco ornamentation, gold leaf and paintings. The building constructed by imperial order in between 1870- 1890 was designed by architect Gottfried Semper and it houses the Habsburg art collections making it one of the world`s most renowned art history museums.
