The Viale dell`Uccelleria, the street of the aviary in the Villa Borghese Gardens in Rome Italy. The aviary was projected by the architect Girolamo Rainaldi in the 17th century as a monumental front to close the so called second secret garden of the Villa Borghese Pinciana todays Galleria Borghese Museum. Iy seems that in the period from 1616-19 visitors could admire rare exotic birds in the cages. The Villa Borghese Gardens became a public park in 1903.
