Ruins of Somoskő Castle in Hungary #156834206
Description
The early core of the castle was raised in the second half of the 13th century by the Kacsics family, who own the land. During the anarchic internal war following the extinction of the male branch of the ÃÂrpád dynasty, the noble family was forced to surrender to the provincial governor Máté Csák. According to contemporary charts, Charles Anjou`s army seized the ears of Sir and Sirok from the Csák empire in 1320, when the castle estate of SomoskÃ
â could also be royal. The victorious monarch donated it to his beloved beloved Baron Tamás Szécsényi, whose descendants lived there until the middle of the 15th century.
