Marble relied crucifixion of christ and of the Genoa Cathedral #159157616
Description
Pictured is a marble relief of the crucifixion of Jesus in the Genoa Cathedral. Also called la Cattedrale di San Lorenzo, it was consecrated in 1118 though construction was not completed until the 17th century. The striped exterior is a landmark feature of Genoa, northern Italy. At the far right of the picture is a bomb that by legend punched the cathedral roof and did not explode during World War II. That event was called the Saint Lawrence Miracle.
