Description
The Spaso-Borodino convent is an Orthodox monastery on the Borodino field in the Moscow region of Russia. Founded in 1839, closed in 1929, reopened in 1992. Administratively on the territory of the monastery there is a village Voroshilovo. It was founded by M. M. Tuchkova, the widow of A. A. Tuchkova, who died at the battle of Borodino in 1812. Restoration began in 1972. In 1992, within the walls of the monastery was renewed Orthodox convent. One of the beautiful Orthodox Christian monasteries with a rich history and beautiful architecture.
