Description
Pictured is a bronze hydra sculpture in Gourdon Village, France. The legendary hydra had nine heads and attacked with poisonous venom. One of the nine heads was immortal and therefore indestructible. Gourdon is a village with only 416 inhabitants perched on a dizzingly high, rocky outcrop overlooking the Valley of the Loup. The altitude is 760 meters. The village is mostly animated by its craftspeople and their workshops, its colorful shops and its restaurants.
