This happened in 1408 after 11 years from the Foundation of the Belozersky Ferapontov monastery. This monastery is one of the most famous Christian Orthodox monasteries in Russia. The monastery preserved a number of architectural monuments of XVI-XIX centuries. The Foundation of the Church of the monk Ferapont is also preserved. Some of these tombstones, found during the clearing of the monastery, is part of the necropolis.Near the monastery in the village of Isavitsa there is a spring with healing water- `the Well of St. Ferapont`, according to legend, opened by Ferapont Belozersky.
