Description
Pimiango is a place of the parish of Colombres in the council of Ribadedeva, in Asturias.It has a population of 93 inhabitants 49 women and 44 men in 2017.1Highlights among its points of interest are the cave paintings of the cave of Pindal, declared in the World Heritage Site of Unesco in 2008, the ruins of the Monastery of Tina2 3 and the hermitage of San Emeterio. The remains of the old Tina copper mines are also noteworthy.4In its main population center, Pimiango houses Angel Noriega Square, 5 El Pedroso Palace, former fortress of Los Colombres, 6 and San Roque Church.7 8The lighthouse of San Emeterio, built more than 150 years ago, can be seen from the Picu9 viewpoint.10 Manuel Gestera carried out its construction, awarded by 271 325 reais, with Manuel Noriega Laso, neighbor of this town, his first bullfighter.From the immediate vicinity of the viewpoint, you can access through a path to the easternmost cove of Asturias, the Regolgueru.11
