Amphorae of different sizes exposed on the shelf. Amphora is a large vessel of burnt clay, ovoid, spherical or elongated, with its often pointed bottom, with two symmetrical towels, used in antiquity, in which wine, oil, garum, various cereals were kept and transported. During the roman period, ceramic amphorae had a capacity of about 26 liters.
