In late 1888, only weeks before his final collapse into madness, Nietzsche set out to compose his autobiography, titled Ecce Homo - How One Becomes What One Is. Ecce Homo, Latin words that mean `Behold the Man`, were spoken by Pontius Pilate when presenting Jesus Christ before the crowd. The engraved marble is located to the left of the entance to the five star hotel Chateau de la Chevre Dor in Eze, France.
