National Trust - Blakeney National Nature Reserve #162131665
Description
The reserve is part of both an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a World Biosphere Reserve near Blakeney and Morston. The Blakeney Point was formed by longshore drift, a four mile spit of shingle beach and sand dunes and is a dynamic structure, gradually moving towards the coast and extending to the west. For more than a century, following pioneering ecological studies, the area has been monitored. A team of seasonal Rangers live and study in the area. Taken late October.
