The areas of Extremadura Spain and Alentejo Portugal bring together a huge amount of megalithic archaeological sites between 5 and 6,000 years old. In the surroundings of the Alentejo capital of Évora alone, more than 150 megalithic monuments have been counted.The Almendres Cromlech is the complex of the so-called ‘megalithic’ of all of Europe – according to carbon dating 14 – and although it does not have much mega, it is a set of stones – similar to Carnac- but in circles of concentric stones.
