In Westmeath County, on two of the Loughcrew hills, called Witches Hops by the peasants ââ¬â the jump of the witches, is an extensive excavation, consisting of three large chambers ass well as a narrow corridor that leads to them.Loughcrew is one of the four important sites of the Neolithic in Ireland, which claims to contain those known as corridor tombs.The other three are: The aforementioned site of Brú na Bóinne in the last two chapters, the other two are Carrowkeel and Carrowmore. -Which will be explored in later chapters-The Loughcrew site covers up to four summits: Carnbane East, Carnbane West, Carrickbrack and Patrickstown.
