Description

As we today see the dolmen is because it was the subject of important restoration work that enables us to find an aspect close to the original. Built according to a common patron in many megalithic monuments in the region, such as Gavrinis or Kercado, it is composed of a corridor. The entrance marked by a lintel is oriented to the southeast of the Gulf of Morbihan, and may be related to the axis of the winter solstice at dawn. The corridor, 7 metres long and 1.50 metres wide on average leads to a large polygonal room of 3 metres by 3.80 metres. The height of the ceiling, as happens in many cairns gradually increases. In this case, 1.40 metres from the entrance to 2.50 metres in the inner chamber. The hall and the chamber are built with large lithos, each with a weight of several tonnes, complete by a masonry of small stones.
