The Well of St Brigid | The Mother of the Gods of Ireland #163784297
Description
One of her greatest attributes was that she built a well under the shade of an oak tree, where several women gathered, and took her as a mother imagine a Christian society, where the woman had no right to go to church, and less if she was not of a good family. She finally founded the first monastery where both men and women could attend. She died in the city of Kildare; the people loved her so much that they glorified her as the reincarnation of Brigit the goddess, daughter of the Dagda, reincarnation of Danu.
