Description
Knowthââ¬â¢s mound is the only one of its kind, because it has two corridors! The eastern corridor is a 34-metre-long corridor that leads to a central cuneiform chamber three apses, very similar to the Newgrange, which contains three niches, and stone bowls on which had the burned remains of the deceased. The right side, as is common in the burial tombs of the burial mounds of Ireland, is decorated with more megalithic art. On the contrary, the west corridor is 40 metres long and leads to another chamber that is not connected to the east one. This corridor ends in an indifferent chamber, which is presumed to have contained a stone niche.nnIf the Construction of the Newgrange, towards a clear declaration of intentions to what the symbol of the Triskel concerns, here in Knowth, with its two corridors, in east / west orientation, one ending with a chamber of three apses or quarters and the other concluding before a single roomââ¬Â¦
