Guatemalans enjoy a fireworks lights show and the National Ballet portrayal of The Nutcracker, in front of the Guatemalan Cathedral, during the opening celebrations and inauguration of the Christmas Festival and Fair, in Central Park, Downtown Guatemala City, Guatemala. As in many of the Latin American countries during Christmas Season and New Year celebrations, the use of Fireworks, Christmas Lights, Nativity Scenes, Christmas Trees, and paraphernalia is commonly used either by the common folk or institutions, to light up the sky and their shops or to attract costumers into buying the presents for this yearly occasion, or to adorn their homes to welcome their guests.
