Guatemalans enjoy shopping and walking in La Sexta Avenida, spanish for Sixth Avenue, a popular main avenue turned a walking street where shops line up, and that during the opening celebrations and inauguration of the Christmas Festival and Fair is lighted up with Christmas light, in Downtown Guatemala City, Guatemala. As in many of the Latin American countries during Christmas Season and New Year celebrations, the use of Christmas Lights, Nativity Scenes, Christmas Trees, and paraphernalia is commonly used either by the common folk or institutions, to light up the sky and their shops or to attract customers into buying the presents for this yearly occasion, or to adorn their homes to welcome their guests.
