There are always a dozen professional fishermen at Port de Thonon bearing testament to Lake Geneva’s fishing heritage. They sit in pretty huts and cast their nets and fish traps over Lake Genll year round and in all weather conditions. They leave the huts every day to get their nets out and go back to the port with their catch of the day: True fera, perch, trout, Arctic char, burbot and crayfish.
