Description
A bronze statue of the famous Royal Navy captain and explorer Matthew Flinders, who mapped much of the Australian coastline between 1796 and 1803. It stands outside the Mitchell Wing of the State Library of New South Wales. Beneath the window in the background is a sculpture of Flinders`s cat, `Trim`. Sydney, Australia, May 27 2019
