Fog horns sit next to the lighthouse at Lizard Point. The twin towers of the lighthouse mark the most southerly point of mainland Britain it was commissioned in1752 and has provided a welcoming landfall light to vessels crossing the Atlantic Ocean. The engine room has been restored.
