Monte Piana is a large, flat-topped mountain at the western edge of the group Dolomiti di Sesto - Sextener Dolomiten. It is neighboured by the groups of Cristallo, Drei Zinnen, Croda Rossa, and this way its summit has a perferct 360° panorama to these mountains. Lake Landro is a beautiful mountain lake situated at 1,400 m a.s.l., accessible from Dobbiaco. Besides Lake Braies and Lake Dobbiaco, Lake Landro is among the three largest natural lakes in the upper Val Pusteria. The lake is starting point for numerous mountain hikes in summer and offers a unique view on the Cristallo Group and the Ampezzo Dolomites.
