Description
The 9 storey entrance to the Virupaksha temple, shot from the rocky hillock to the left of the temple. This temple is located on the south bank of the river Tungabadra. The access to the temple's main entrance tower is through the chariot street in front of the Hampi Bazaar. A UNESCO world hertiage site, the temple has been built progressively from the 12th century.
