2010 Taiwan LGBT Pride Parade took place in Taipei, on October 30, 2010. This year’s theme is “Out & Vote.” We are angry because the politicians in Taiwan have overlooked the needs of the LGBT community during numerous law-making and public policy decision-making processes. Major elections are around the corner (in November 2010 for the mayors of 5 major cities and for the city council representatives), and not too surprisingly the candidates are suddenly starting to get votes from the LGBT citizens by claiming that they have paid close attention to the LGBT rights.
