Upper part, illuminated by the sun and surrounded by the blue sky, of the Specola di Padova seat of the ancient astronomical observatory of the University of Padua. The observatory and museum are located on Torlonga, the larger of the two towers of the ancient Castle of Paduabuilt by Ezzelino III by Romano in 1242.As the chronicles of the time tell, this tower was the place where the tyrant kept his prisoners locked up and tortured.
