The Collegiata di Santa Maria, is a Romanesque-style, church located in Castell`Arquato province of Piacenza Emilia-Romagna northern Italy.nDating back to the 8th century, after an earthquake only the original baptismal font survived and was completely rebuilt in 1122. View of the abses dating nnto the late 13th century. Castell’Arquato is a medieval town of traditional structure which has maintained its appearance as it was in the early 10th century, the Old Town of Castell`Arquato is a high rock which in other times was strategically important for dominating the valley, now surrounded by the village.
