Paintings from1932-1973 by Carlo Levi in the exhibition `Carlo Levi and the art of politics` in the second floor of the House of the Princes today Museum of Villa Torlonia in Rome, Italy. The painting dates from 1951. The exhibition displays the work of the Italian painter and writer Carlo Levi best known for his book Christ Stopped at Eboli. The exhibition points out his work as painter but although as designer of political caricatures in particular for the newspaper `Italia Socialista`. Built in pseudo sixteenth century style and richly decorated the Casino of the Princes was designed by Giovan Battista Caretti, between 1835 and 1840, following the desire of Prince Alessandro Torlonia 1800-1886.Today the building is part of the museum complex and public park. The small and elegant house was used by Prince Alessandro Torlonia, during the sumptuous society events held in the Villa. The House of the Princes is actually used for temporary exhibition.
