Remains of Secret WW 2 Radar Site at Cape Point #171464161
Description
A small alcove, now a tourist lookout, at the tip of Cape Point in South Africa records that this spot held a secret radar installation during WW 2. It includes a panel showing two ostriches and a thorn bush and a plaque with details. The station was built in 1943 to quickly intercept German U-boats which were attacking Allied convoys in the Cape region.
