Carn Brea is a hilltop site in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It was both a neolithic and iron age settlement and is scattered with granite rocks and stacks. Pictured in the summer from the top with views over the cornish town Redruth and over to St Agnes Head in the background. The castle is a 14th-century grade II listed granite stone building which was extensively remodelled in the 18th century as a hunting lodge in the style of a castle for the Basset family.
