View of the third-century Aurelian Walls in via Numidia in Rome, Italy. It is located in the southern section between Porta San Giovanni in the east and Porta Latina or Latin Gate in the south. The Aurelian Walls were built between 271 AD and 275 AD, during the reign of the Roman Emperors Aurelian and Probus. The walls had an extension of 19 km, today 12,5 km are surviving.
