Ivy can turn a reddish purple when temperatures go below 40 degrees Fahrenheit in the Northeastern US. That`s exactly what happened to this ivy growing wild in a local preserve on Long Island NY. One hanging branch with reddish purple leaves; the area around the veins on the leaves are distinctly still an olive green. Awaiting the return of Spring and warmer temperatures.
