Milan Cathedral (Duomo di Milano in Italian or Domm de Milan in Lombard) is the cathedral church of Milan, Lombardy, Italy. Dedicated to the Nativity of St Mary (Santa Maria Nascente), in gothic style, it took nearly six centuries to complete so that the Milanese have a saying: “lungh cumè la fabrica del Domm” (as long as the building of the Duomo) to refer to an endless work. It is the largest church in Italy and one of the largest in the world.
