In 1619 Agostino Nani bought a house in Monselice from Girolamo Vercelisio with a brolo locked closed by a wall. Agostino Nani, Venetian nobleman, procurator of San Marco, ambassador of the Republic was a friend of Pietro Duodo, and we can imagine that the initiative could fit into the will of the Venetian nobility who buys and invests in Monselice to build buildings worthy of his name.
