Description
Echinacea purpurea. An Echinacea seed pod that survived the winter and is still standing tall even in Spring. Most of the seeds have been eaten by birds. There`s a ring around the bottom of seeds that were left behind. Toss this in your garden, and you`ll get flowers the same year. Dried seeds. Last year`s flowers. Echinacea is used as an herbal remedy for colds. It`s in the Sunflower family.
