The black rhino or hook-lipped rhinocerus -Diceros bicornis- in Etosha National Park, Namibia. The black rhino, like its white cousin, is not actually black. The name is derived from an Africaans-language term about its lip, which is the way to distinguish the two rhinos along with their nostrils position. The Black Rhino is one of the Big Five mammals. The black rhino thrives now in Namibian reservations, a country praised for its positive ecological measures.
