Description
Lake Fourchu is the most extensive of the lakes of the plateau formed of sheep rocks and constituting the northern part of the Taillefer massif. Dominated by the Taillefer itself located to the south, the lake is surrounded by Lac Canard to the north as well as Lac de la Veche, Lac Noir, Lac de l`Agneau and Lac Culasson to the southeast, near a small pass connecting the valley of the Gavet stream in the west to the Garcin rif, a tributary of the Lignare torrent, in the east, both tributaries of the Romanche.
