Description
The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus is one of the seven wonders of the Ancient World. It was completed around 550 BC after at the end of 120 years of construction process. It was made entirely of marble and one of the most complex temples of the Ancient World. It dedicated to Artemis, the goddess of hunt and wild animals and a lot of other things. The city was one of the 12 Ioninan cities in the western Anatolia and birthplace of famous philospher Heraclitus. Saint Jean is one of twelve apostles of Jesus who entrusted Virgin Mary to him. St. Jean & Virgin Mary moved from Jerusalem to Ephesus where paganism reigned.
