Description
The bottom Tsaritsynsky pond. Under the guidance of architect Vasily Bazhenov, construction of a new residence begins. During the summer, Catherine II visits Tsaritsyno several times and repeatedly rides on the ponds now they are called Tsaritsyn on a boat with Grigory Potemkin. Fishing holidays are also organized near the Shipilovskaya dam. In the 1780s, the pond was significantly deepened and cleared. By the 1790s, a decorative island in the shape of a horseshoe was built on it. A luxurious bathhouse appears on the shore.
