Chanterelle or Mowed Inonotus Latin: Inonotus obliquus - a species of fungi of the genus Inonotus Inonotus of the Basidiomycete division. The sterile sterile form of the fungus is called chaga, or birch mushroom.It is most often found on birch trees, which is why it got the popular name ââ¬Åblack birch mushroomââ¬Â. Less commonly, some other living trees are affected - alder, mountain ash, beech, elm, maple. Chaga is used in medicine as an antitumor and anti-gastritis drug, as well as herbal tea.
