The Wall snakes off the Mountain #182303833
Description
Beijing Knot is one of the most strategic points of the whole Great Wall. The Wall splits here into two branches: The Inner Wall leads to Ming Tombs and then breaks there so as not to spoil Fengshui and after Ming Tombs it picks up at Badaling and further westward . The Outer Wall is to mend the gap of the Inner Wall and it serves as the actual border with Mongolia. The two branches will eventually merge before crossing the Yellow River. This is a close- up view of the Outer Wall from top of Beijing Knot.
