Description
Olympiada is a town in the northeastern part of the peninsula of Chalkidiki, Greece, with 649 inhabitants. Olympiada took its name from Olympias, a princess of Ancient Epirus and the mother of Alexander the Great. Chalkidiki also spelled Chalkidike, Chalcidice, Khalkidhiki, or Halkidiki, is a peninsula and regional unit of Greece, part of the Region of Central Macedonia in Northern Greece. The autonomous Mount Athos region constitutes the easternmost part of the peninsula.
