Actor, director, filmmaker, musician, and former politician Clint Eastwood arrives at the 12th annual Tribeca Film Festival on April 27, 2013. The occasion was the Tribeca Film Festival`s Directors Series of discussions. His contribution was the film, `Eastwood Directs: The Untold Story.` Eastwood has won 8 Golden Globe Awards, 1 BAFTA, and 13 Oscars, including 2 for acting and several for directing. He is a talented pianist and plays the cornet as well. He accomplished a rare feat of winning Academy Awards for Directing `Unforgiven` and Million Dollar Baby,` while also earning acting nominations for these films. Eastwood gained early fame in the 1950s for playing the role of `Rowdy Yates` in `Rawhide` for CBS television. In the 60s he gained popularity for playing in `Man with No Name,` a spaghetti western directed by Sergio Leone. In the 70s and 80s he became identified with the role of tough cop, `Harry Callahan` in the `Dirty Harry` series. As he branched out into directing, he earned great respect as a major force in American films. Eastwood turned 90 on May 31, 2020.
