Title
Dune 45 at sunrise Namib desert. Namibia #184260387
Description
Dune 45 is called that because it is at kilometer point 45. It is common for tourists to come to this place at sunrise, when the low sun casts the shadows to the west and the breeze pushes the sand in the same direction, towards the ocean Atlantic, creating sinuous shapes on the surface. In other parts of the world it is common for dunes to form thanks to the wind that comes from the sea. On the Namibian coast in Southwest Africa, the opposite is true.On the edge of the dune are the tiny silhouettes of some people. In the foreground stands a dry tree.
