The Musee Mécanique is an interesting, family owned museum of rare mechanical gadgets, at San Francisco Pier 45. Everything from coin operated games to a steam powered motorcycle can be found here, and is free and open to the public.In the early hours of 23 May 2020, a large fire broke out at the Musee, and over a hundred of the San Francisco Fire Fighters were called out, in additional to their newest fire boat.San Francisco Fire Department is unique in their use of above ground water delivery.Although the fire was out by the next day, police and fire remained on hand for several days after, as a precaution.
