Description
On May 25, 2020, George Floyd, an unarmed 46-year-old black man, died in Minneapolis, Minnesota, after Derek Chauvin, a white police officer, knelt on his neck for almost nine minutes while he was lying face down handcuffed on the street. Today, in the small Bucks County community of Newtown, Pennsylvania, hundreds of people came out to protest for this brutal killing. The crowd was orderly wearing facial masks but emotions ran high as they chanted `Black Lives Matter` and `No Justice No Freedom` and `I Can`t Breathe`. There was at point when the protestors were silent as they went down on one knee and held their position for eight minutes and forty-five seconds. This was the length of time that George Floyd was under the police officers knee begging for him to let him breathe.
