Disneyland Main Street Horse Drawn Street Car Editorial Image

Guests visiting Disneyland can ride a horse-drawn car down Main Street. The streetcar is taking tourists to travel around Main Street, U. S. A. , which is created from Walt Disneys childhood town of Marceline, Missouri. The area consists of train station, town square, movie theater, city hall, shops and and a fire station. This Disney ride is reminiscent of the horse-drawn tram horsecar which was an early form of public rail transport that developed out of industrial haulage routes that had long been in existence, and from the omnibus routes that first ran on public streets in the 1820s, using the newly improved iron or steel rail or `tramway`.
