After The Fire At A Local Church Auditorium, Smoking Ruins And Rubble, Catholic Cross Editorial Photo

Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Copiague, Long Island, New York. The auditorium caught fire on June 3 2020, reasons still unknown. The roof collapsed and the next morning, the rubble was still smoking. In fact, the Copiague Volunteer Fire Department was called back to the site and spent over an hour spraying down the remains of the building. The church was unharmed. No one was hurt. The cross atop the church seen through the smoking rubble seem to hold some significance. Brick, beams, and girders create an eerie scene.
