Pelourinho is the old historic center of Salvador. Here you can see the largest collection of different types of colonial architecture in Latin America. It is no accident that the historical center of the city was declared a UNESCO world heritage site. The blue Church of Nossa Senhora do Rosario DOS Pretus is visible on the left. The Church was erected in 1704 by slaves from Africa in their spare time from hard labor, often at night.Built almost a hundred years.
