Whale watching San Ignacio Lagoon Baja California #18806550
Description
The gray whales are the only friendly whale species that will approach a boat to be touched. Every year many tourists and researchers come Magdalena or San Ignacio lagoons to visit with the whales. In recent years the number of whale calves being born in the Mexican lagoons receded due to environmental factors affecting their food sorce 2011 is the first year having more whales being born then the year before. Researchers even found gray whales from Russia in these Lagoons that had stayed from their route. The numbers of boats permitted into the lagoons is restricted to protect the whales. The camps supporting the whale tourism promote ecological energy solutions and are run solely on wind and solar power and separate and recycle their trash.
