Combe Laval, a scenic balcony road in France #188357816
Description
Built in the second half of the 19th century, Combe Laval is today considered one of the finest roads in the French Alps. Torn out of live rock, the trail tempts with fabulous views of thrill-seeking bikers and cyclists. The most spectacular section of the road is the section between St. Jean-en-Royans and Col de la Machine, which mercilessly cuts into the almost vertical wall of the ravine and runs through 11 short and narrow tunnels.
